Replacing the third brake light.
How does Hyundai expect anyone, but an elf, to be able to reinstall this 3rd brake light? Also
Hyundai- Don’t worry, the bulb totally won’t fall through while your trying to fit it into the assembly.
Me- ok
Hyundai- lol jk it totes will.
Same for the damn screw. There’s a screw you have to undo (no pics) and there’s a little access hole for you to get it.
Hyundai- don’t worry, the screws not gonna fall out and land where you can’t reach it, even though you’re using a magnetic screwdriver.
Me- k
Hyundai- PSYCH! LMAO!!!
This is why I will never be a mechanic
Boss- Hey, replace the 3rd brake light on this car.
Me- ‘ight.
Me- I’m done!
Boss- uhhhh. You wanna eat dinner with me and my wife tonight? Not because I like you, but it’s the only meal you’re going to be able to afford this week.
Me- :(

I would have taken one look at that and been like, nope! Off to the dealer you go.

Ouch it took me less time to disassemble my dryer to replace the heating element than it takes to replace a light bulb in a Hyundai. Also:
Never forget.

This is true. Should’ve just let jiffy lube do it. I took it there for the oil change and they were gonna do it for like $10. Would’ve been worth it.
The bulbs (They didn’t sell them individually) were $6 :(

Yeah would’ve been. But to be fair who expects a bulb to be that much of a pain in the ass. Now you know, but in your position I would’ve attempted it myself too.

Not even the dealer. Jiffy lube was gonna do it for $10, and the bulbs were $6.

PS - Express Lube is my favorite quick change place in San Antonio. Good people, honest, decent prices, haven’t really heard any stories of them fucking up.

1st generation Cadillac CTS. You need to remove the whole front bumper cover to change the low beam bulbs:

$16 is worth an hour of my time.

I’ll check’em out. The Integra needs an oil change soon and I don’t wanna do it on hot asphalt.

If you like fancy oil, their Royal Purple change costs basically the same as just buying the oil and filter yourself. Cooler temps are coming pretty soon. I should probably make sure you’re not a serial killer IRL but if you ever need to use my garage just holler. I have a jack and 4 stands but not a whole lot in the way of other tools.

Nice, thanks for the garage offer. I’ll take you up on that if I ever need to do any suspension or under body stuff. (I have a DD 214 saying I got honorable discharged, is that good enough? lol)
